Miss Bernice S. Blohm, 94, of LaPorte, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte.
She was born Aug. 15, 1919, in LaPorte to Herbert and Minnie (Newman) Blohm.
Bernice worked for 30-plus years at General Telephone, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her two sisters, Jane A. Blohm of LaPorte and Lois M. O’Brien of Elkhart, IN, and several cousins.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaPorte, on Thursday, Feb. 6, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. A life celebration will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ronald A. Brauer officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte.
