Vice President Rita Mrozinski welcomed members and asked Sandra Provan to offer prayer. George Royster introduced Greg Fruth, who spoke about oral histories.
Mrozinski presented a 30-year membership pin to Lion Rudy. She said the LaPorte Lions conducted a Lion memorial service for the late Mark Essling on Jan. 29. She circulated a sign-up sheet for the midwinter dinner with Door Village Lions at Portofino at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12; order off the menu.
Bill Burkhart said the new Lions Alert units are still waiting to be programmed. Paul Marsh said he received a thank-you note from a hearing aid recipient. He and Oscar Ryl-Kuchar will go on a trip to Mexico Feb. 15 to fit eyeglasses to people who need them.
The board will meet Feb. 10.
