March 13, 1914 – The body of former LaPorte boy Frank W. Albright is found in the burned ruins of the Missouri Athletic Club building in St. Louis. Identification is made possible by a diamond ring on his hand.
March 13, 1964 – A woman demands $81 from the City of LaPorte for medical bills she contracted after falling on a sidewalk.
March 13, 1989 – A frantic search for a 3-year-old Coolspring Township girl ends in tragedy when she is found under the ice at Walton Lake.
March 13, 2004 – The City of LaPorte has fined LaPorte Savings Bank $50 for having a historic property torn down before a 60-day demolition moratorium was up, but preservationists say that’s hardly enough.
