The LaPorte Service League is seeking teams to join in its 3rd annual Trivia Night on Friday, April 25. This fun event will begin at 6 p.m. at the LaPorte County Fairgrounds Community Building, with rounds starting at 6:30 p.m. Entrants are limited to the first 20 teams; all ages are welcome. The entry fee is $100 per team with up to 10 players per team.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. A cash bar will be available, and teams are invited to bring along their own snacks. In past years, some teams have made an event of the food sharing to complement the fellowship and trivia competition.
A raffle will be held and door prizes awarded. Businesses wishing to provide a prize or sponsorship may contact chairperson Val Martinsen at 219-851-3989.
To register, contact LPServiceLeague@gmail.com for a form.
Proceeds from the event will support LaPorte Service League community projects. The league was founded in March 1932, with members focusing on social, economic, educational, cultural and civic volunteerism. Each member spends at least 50 hours per year contributing to community service projects, including presenting an annual play for thousands of area schoolchildren.
