A 12-year-old girl told LaPorte Police that two men tried to lure her into their pickup truck at around 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014, on Bosserman Street.
The girl told police she had arrived at her grandmother’s house after school and went to take her dog for a walk. As she walked on Bosserman near Oberreich Street, two men in an older red truck with a black bed cap pulled up, she said. The passenger told her he knew her mother and said she should get in the truck with them. The girl told the man she did not know him, but he continued to urge her to get in the truck. The girl refused and walked back to her grandmother’s house. She saw the truck leave the area.
The passenger was described as an older white male with gray and brown curly hair and beard.
