The La Porte County Historical Society Inc. will host its annual Spring Dinner/Meeting on Tuesday, May 20, at the LaPorte County Historical Society Museum, 2405 Indiana Ave., La Porte.
Social time will begin at 6 p.m., with a catered dinner following at 6:30 p.m. The dinner menu includes boneless, skinless chicken breast, parsley buttered red potatoes, salad, green beans almondine, bread & butter, and apple pie slice. Cost per person is $10.50. Paid reservations are a must and absolute deadline is Friday, May 16, by 4 p.m.
The business meeting will begin at 7:15 p.m., followed by presentation of the 16th annual Historian of the Year Award, honoring an individual who has promoted the preservation of LaPorte County’s history.
Guests are welcome and the facility is handicapped accessible.
Become a member of this award-winning organization! Membership affords free entrance to the museum throughout the calendar year of membership. Dues may be paid at the meeting. Membership is also a great gift for the person who has “everything.”
