Orlando “Lanny” Lee Wozniak, 64, of LaPorte, died June 15, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his three girls and welcomed into the loving arms of his Daddy on Father’s Day to truly worship.
He was born Feb. 24, 1950, in Michigan City, IN, to Roy Roman and Barbara Frances (Sajovic) Wozniak.
Orlando worked at Bethlehem Steel for 30 years and also at AM General in South Bend, IN, for 10 years and GAF in Michigan City. He enjoyed gardening, Bonsai, Harley-Davidsons, pin collecting, and Disney World. His passion outside of Jesus were his wife, children and his grandbabies.
On Aug. 18, 1990, he married Julie (Wegiel) Wozniak, who survives.
Also surviving are his beloved children, Missy Jablonski and Mandy (Rob) Lower, both of LaPorte; grandson, Cayden; granddaughters, Ahvanna, Madelynn, Laila and Reese; and his brothers and sisters, Roy (Donna) Wozniak of Otis, IN, Barbara Horan of Indianapolis, Martha (Roger) Eitel of Athol, ID, Kenneth (Nancy) Wozniak of Alamogordo, NM, Rose (Ralph) Hindmarch of Mt. Carmel, PA, Carol (Wayne) Hopf of Easton, PA, Fay Messina of Wichita, KS, Hugh Wozniak of LaPorte, and Hope Upchurch of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Andrew Wozniak; and two granddaughters, Bailey and Makenna.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, with Pastor Jeff Hines officiating. Visitation will take place Wednesday, June 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery following the service.
