Sandra J. Tamlin, 73, of LaPorte, died peacefully at home on June 18, 2014.
She was born Oct. 8, 1940, in Michigan City, IN, to James W. and Vivian R. (Hulet) Caddo.
Sandra was a member of Agape Christian Church in LaPorte. She enjoyed cross stitching, gardening and reading. She was a staff member with Family Life Ministries from 1994-2002.
On June 27, 1959, in Michigan City, she married George Tamlin, who survives.
Also surviving are her beloved children, Shari (Duane) Breske of Warsaw, IN, Kevin Tamlin of South Bend, IN, and Lisa (Frank) Santiago of North Liberty, IN; grandchildren, Shannon, Christopher, and Caleb Breske, Ian Tamlin, Noah Tamlin, and Nicholas and Lucas Santiago; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Loren and Russell Caddo; and sisters, Margie Barkdull and Myrna Shriner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Wayne Tamlin; and five brothers, Darwin, Norman, Vernon, Jim and Eugene Caddo.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23, at Agape Christian Church. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday, June 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. until the service. Cremation will follow the service. Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, is handling arrangements.
