Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the next alfresco movie feature in downtown LaPorte: “Monsters University” June 27.
This summer series has become a community favorite, featuring outdoor showings of family-friendly films at dusk at the corner of State and Monroe streets.
Come watch the movie and enjoy popcorn (supplied by LaPorte Savings Bank) for free! Other food and refreshments will be available for purchase from B&J’s American Cafe and Temple News Agency. Bump n’ Jump Playhouses will provide bounce houses for the kids from 6 p.m. until the movie starts.
A limited quantity of “Mike” T-shirts will be for sale in both youth and adult sizes. The youth shirts sell for $8 and the adult shirts sell for $10. All proceeds will fund the new outdoor movie screen for the downtown Friday Night at the Movies. T-shirts will be for sale starting Tuesday, June 24, at the Greater LaPorte Chamber of Commerce in the historic LaPorte Depot. The shirts will also be available Friday night at the screening.
