Works In Motion Dance Company is proud to present its 7th annual dance recital, “Mark Your Calendars!”, at Elston Auditorium, 317 Detroit St., Michigan City. Two shows will be held Saturday, June 8. Show times are 2 pm and 6 pm. The box office will be open 1 hour before curtain and the house will open 30 minutes before each show.
Over 175 dancers will take the stage showcasing their talents in ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, tap, and tumbling, all set to music based on a “Calendar” theme. Holidays, appointments, family reunions, parties and weddings are just some of the highlights on the program. Audience members will enjoy a variety of new songs as well as some familiar tunes such as “Freeze Frame” and “We Are Family.”
The 2-hour performance includes all-new choreography by WIMDC faculty members Ashley Fridh, Lindsay Gogel, Erica Lekarczyk and Amber Mills. Also featured in the show is Synergy, Works In Motion’s award-winning competition team.
