Courtney E. Harley, 36, of LaPorte, died Oct. 1, 2014, at Franciscan St. Anthony Health in Michigan City, IN.
She was born Dec. 8, 1977, in Michigan City to Charles and Carol (Heise) Wright.
Courtney loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her son, Jayden. She was a nursing student at Ivy Tech and also worked as a home health aide, a body piercer, and a sales representative for Lia Sophia Jewelry. Courtney loved photography, butterflies, scrapbooking, psychology, tattoo culture, and event planning, including weddings.
On May 8, 2010, she married Tommy Harley, who survives.
Also surviving are her beloved son, Jayden Quinn Harley of LaPorte; her parents, Charles and Carol Wright of LaPorte; brothers, Adam (Meagan) Bluhm and Christopher (Anita) Wright, both of LaPorte; nieces and nephews, Bradley Penrod of Michigan City and Neidra Wright, Devin Bluhm, Mason Bluhm, Connor Bluhm, Berlin Wright, and Kayden Bluhm, all of LaPorte; sister at heart, Lindsey Watkins of Michigan City; and mother-in-law, Shirley Lock of Michigan City.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Matthew Bluhm, and her grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Heise, and Charles and Harriett Wright.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will follow at Patton Cemetery, LaPorte.
