The Shirley Lubeznik Family Children’s Concert, “A Day at the Opera” created by Diana Ford, will take place Wednesday, Oct. 8, at three different times, 9:30 a.m., 11:10 a.m. and 12:45 p.m., at the LaPorte Civic Auditorium.

Join the LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Philip Bauman, as they explore all of the emotions of opera. Education Director and LCSO Principal Bassist Diana Ford has authored this creative and child-friendly approach to opera with a full orchestra. Come and enjoy some of the world’s most beautiful and dramatic music. Performers will carry out the drama, costumes and emotions found in opera.
Actors and singers who will share their talents include Bonnie Quigley, Warren Moulton, Betsy Archer and Emanuel Caraman.
