The Boston Middle School 8th-grade football team finished its season with a tough loss to Kesling Middle School, 35-14, under the lights at Kiwanis Field Wednesday, Oct. 8. The “Slicer Jug” in honor of Jake West now resides at Kesling.
Jalen Russell led Boston in scoring; he completed a 50-yard “hook and lateral” pass from Mason Shreves and Jacob Tuttle to go along with his 2-point conversion reception. Tuttle scored the first touchdown for the Bruins.
After a tough end to the season, the Bruins will join Kesling players next year, playing freshman football. Good luck as Slicers!
The Boston 6th-7th-grade football team finished its season with a loss to Kesling, 28-20, at Kiwanis. After falling behind 14-0 at the half, they climbed their way back into the game with tougher defense and strong running by Oswald and Alexander.
