A special two-day event titled “Awaken O’ Barren Land and Worship the Holy One of Israel — Yeshua (Jesus)” will take place June 1 and 2 at The River Christian Fellowship Church, 2699 N. Ind. 39, LaPorte. This event is free to the public; a freewill offering will be taken.
The event will include powerful presentations on how the Lord has lifted lives from the depths of despair, sacred services to proclaim praise and worship the wonders of God’s great power, and Christian concerts by the nationally acclaimed Marty Goetz to emanate the energy of the Lord. Goetz’s songs are scriptures set to acoustical/classic arrangements.
The event will also feature Shelly Volk. In 1975, Volk left a Wall Street firm where he was executive vice president, sold what he owned and gave to the poor. He eventually served as pastor of a congregation in Paradise Valley, AZ, which grew to more than 500. He has been a senior pastor for years.

Saturday, June 1
– 10 to 10:10 a.m.: welcome/opening
– 10:10 to 10:30 a.m.: worship with Goetz
– 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.: session 1: Shelly Volk’s Israel and the Church
– 11:30 a.m. to noon: question and answer time
– Noon to 1:30 p.m.: break for lunch
– 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.: session 2: Volk’s Israel and the Church
– 2:30 to 3 p.m.: question and answer time
– 3 to 6 p.m.: break for dinner
– 6 to 8 p.m.: praise and worship concert with Goetz
Sunday, June 2
– 10 a.m. to noon: speaker Volk and worship with Goetz
