A LaPorte man sustained apparently minor injuries after he was shot Oct. 25, 2014, as he walked in the 700 block of East Lincolnway, according to LaPorte Police.
The man, 35, whose name was not released, told police he was walking in that location at about 2:40 a.m. when individuals, with whom he’d had a confrontation earlier at a bar, approached in a dark pickup truck. He said a gun was pointed at him and shots were fired, then the suspects left. At that time he did not think he had been hit, but about an hour later, police and EMS responded to his home after he said he’d removed his clothing and discovered he had been injured. He refused medical treatment at the scene.
The case remains under investigation.
