Town and Country Extension Homemakers met Nov. 13, 2014, at the home of Shirley Griffin. President Joanna Doskocil led the Pledge of Allegiance and Homemaker’s Creed. Roll call was answered by telling what members are thankful for. Sandra Provan read the minutes of the October meeting, which were approved. Shirley Reinfurth gave the treasurer’s report, which was approved. Members donated quarters for cancer.
Old Business: Doskocil reminded members to use the coupon books at Carson’s Nov. 14-15. She and Griffin reported on Taste of Extension, and Doskocil and Reinfurth went to the fall retreat, both of which were enjoyable.
Seventy-five items of warm clothing were brought to be donated to the men’s shelter in Michigan City and can tabs will be taken to the Extension Office.
New Business: Betty Thomas, Reinfurth and Doskocil will attend the holiday council celebration Dec. 1 at the Extension Office. A marathon project day will be Nov. 18 at the Extension Office. Provan won the hostess gift.
The club’s Christmas party will be Thursday, Dec. 11, at 12:30 p.m. at Portofino, with a $5 gift exchange.
