Judy Wright will be the featured performer at First Friday in the Chapel at noon Dec. 5 at the LaPorte Hospital Family Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public. Bring a lunch!
Wright, a retired teacher with the LaPorte Community School Corporation, received a bachelor of arts degree from Bethel College and a master of science degree from Indiana University. She sang twice with the alumni and Bethel College choir at Carnegie Hall, and has sung and played at weddings and funerals locally. Wright also was the choir director at LaPorte Missionary Church.
Wright plays the piano with the LaPorte Missionary Church worship team and plays the organ at First Baptist Church in Kingsbury. She is a member of HealthPorte and the IU LaPorte Hospital Auxiliary, as well as a board member at the Missionary Church and at First Trust Credit Union. Wright volunteers at Handley Elementary School, the HOST program, and at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.
