Devin Wireman, 1995-2014

Wireman, Devin Obit & Card PhotoDevin Melaiya Wireman, 19, of LaPorte, died unexpectedly on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014.

She was born Feb. 17, 1995, in LaPorte to Travis Wireman and Shanna (Daniel) Cantrell.

Devin was very creative. She enjoyed fashion, making hair bows, taking pictures and going to the beach. Most of all, Devin loved spending time with her children, family and friends.

Surviving are her beloved children, Macy and Colson, at home; her mother and stepfather, Shanna and Robert “Bobby” Cantrell; her father and stepmother, Travis and Tinisha Wireman; sister, Taylor McAlister of LaPorte; brothers, Gavin Wireman and Rayden Wireman, both of LaPorte; stepsister, Alexis Cantrell of Rolling Prairie, IN; grandparents, James and Kathy Daniel of LaPorte, Larry Wireman of LaPorte, and Jenny Tow of Rensselaer, IN; uncles, Shawn and Scott Daniel of LaPorte; aunts, Carrie Murphy and Brenda Lane of Rensselaer; best friend and father of her children, Jacob Burdine of Michigan City, IN; and her cat, Polly. She is also survived by her Volvo, Cash.

She was preceded in death by her cousin, Shelby Nicole Daniel, and grandparents, Raymond and Pauline Baud, and James and Hazel Daniel.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, with Pastor Roger Ash officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will take place following the service at Patton Cemetery, LaPorte.

Memorial contributions may be directed to a trust for the children of Devin Wireman, c/o Shanna Cantrell, LaPorte Community Federal Credit Union, 1304 Jefferson Ave., LaPorte, IN 46350.
