Scratched by a blizzard on Feb. 14, the LaPorte County Historical Society Museum’s Valentine program will take place instead on Saturday, Feb. 21, because you can’t cancel love.
The program will begin at 1 p.m. with some history about St. Valentine and vintage Valentines, and stories of Great Loves of LaPorte County. You will have the opportunity to write down your own love story to add to the collection and have it become part of LaPorte County history. Sentimental Journey will provide live music, and you will be able to participate in some romantic trivia and also view the vintage Valentines on display. Light refreshments will be served. The program is free but regular museum admission of just a few dollars is required.
The LaPorte County Historical Society Museum is located at 2405 Indiana Ave., LaPorte, and is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10-4:30. For more information, call 219-324-6767 and visit www.laportecountyhistory.org. The facility is accessible to those with disabilities.
