The Michigan City Police Department will join the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office in hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, April 28. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Emergency Operations Center at City Hall in Michigan City, 100 E. Michigan Blvd.
The public is encouraged to attend this second Town Hall Meeting to greet local law enforcement and ask questions.
“We have enjoyed a great working relationship with the sheriff’s office and are pleased to be joining with Sheriff Boyd to host this community meeting,” Michigan City Police Chief Mark Swistek said in a press release.
“We firmly believe that cooperation between police agencies is making an impact on crime reduction. We appreciate the opportunity to join with Chief Swistek and his staff for this town hall meeting,” Boyd said.
