Clik here to view.Purdue North Central nursing students will present a free class on nutrition and exercise April 27 from 6-7 p.m. in the LaPorte County Public Library’s large meeting room, LaPorte.
Franciscan St. Anthony in Michigan City has identified obesity as a key issue in LaPorte County. PNC nursing students want to get the word out about the importance of nutrition and exercise. Some key points the presentation will include: the effects of sugar on the body, average amount of sugar consumed daily, ways to modify your diet, meal planning, and the importance of exercise.
Blood pressure and body mass index screenings will be provided at the end of the presentation. Snacks and drinks will be made available.
