June 19, 1913 – Charles Young walked to his home from the hospital where he had been for two weeks after suffering from three bullet wounds when a man tried to kill him.
June 19, 1963 – Plans for a one-story Lincoln School cause indecision by the LaPorte School Board.
June 19, 1988 – Kimberly Johnson, a 1988 LaPorte High School graduate, places third in the nation at the Lincoln-Douglas debate finals.
