Mr. Ronald Cleaver, 80, of LaPorte, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Hospice Franciscan Communities in Michigan City, IN. Ronald is with God after a short illness.
He was born May 15, 1934, in Vicksburg, MI, to Herbert and Marie (Cutler) Cleaver.
Ronald worked in road construction for Rieth-Riley. He attended Assembly of God Church of LaPorte. Ronald loved NASCAR, playing on his computer, yard work and gardening.
On Sept. 7, 1974, in Florida, he married Shirley (Bell) Cleaver, who survives.
He is also survived by his daughter, Lorri Price of LaPorte; son, Gary (Donna) Price of Lehigh, FL; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Stone and Chole Trim; and one sister, Joyce Noel of Vicksburg, MI.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaPorte, on Saturday, May 9, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. A life celebration will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Hines officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte.
