WNLP and the LaPorte County Small Animal Shelter present today’s Pet of the Day, Kita!
One of the shelter’s strengths is persevering when, occasionally, an adoption doesn’t work out. “We are on the search for another home for Kita. Unfortunately, she was too much dog for a home with a toddler. She needs someone with some big-dog experience and time to work with her. She knows some basic commands.”

If you’re interested in adopting Kita or any other pet, call 219-326-1637 or visit the shelter at 2855 W. Ind. 2, LaPorte. Adoption hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
