Everything from Model A’s to Mercurys to Mustangs, and more, might be spotted during LaPorte’s Cruise Night 2015. Grab a spectator site along Lincolnway and watch the classic cars cruise by on June 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Plenty of downtown businesses will be open for food, drink and shopping.
As far as the cruisers are concerned, registration and assembly will take place at the fairgrounds from 3 to 5 p.m. Just a $10 donation to cruise. Vehicles must be 1990 and older; no 4×4’s or motorcycles. Vehicles must have license plate and registration.
Street closures, restrictions
The LaPorte Police Department announces these parking restrictions, road closures and traffic detours during Cruise Night:
There will be no parking allowed on Lincolnway from 4 to 9 p.m. Signs will be posted indicating this.
The following road closures will be in effect from 5:45 to 8:30 p.m.: Lincolnway from Adams Street to I Street; J Street from 1st to 6th streets; K Street from 1st Street to Ind. 2; Pine Lake Avenue overpass from Kroger Plaza to Lincolnway; and the east cruise turnaround of Adams Street from Lincolnway to State Street, State Street from Adams to Linwood, and Linwood from State Street to Lincolnway. Indiana Avenue will also be closed to semi-truck traffic and detoured at Boyd Boulevard.
