Lois L. Ott, 85, of LaPorte, died Monday, June 8, 2015, at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.
She was born Oct. 12, 1929, in LaCrosse, IN, to Dewey and Eunice Caroline (Vaughn) Scott.
Lois worked for many years at Plastic Services in LaPorte. She was also very involved with the Eagles Lodge in LaPorte for over 30 years. She served as past president and also in many other capacities, including cooking for weddings at the lodge.
She was married for 65 years to Fred Louis Ott Jr., who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and stepbrother, Paul King.
Surviving are her beloved children, Kenneth Ott of Fort Worth, TX, Cheryl Creed of Valparaiso, IN, and Terry Ott of LaPorte; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Loretta Vaughn of LaPorte; stepbrother, Raymond of Knox, IN; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, June 15, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, with Pastor Roger Ash officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 3 p.m. until the service. A cremation committal has taken place.
