Attic stuffed with antiques? Garage full of rusty gold? Guess who’s coming to Indiana: American Pickers

american-pickers The Greater LaPorte Chamber of Commerce is among Indiana chambers receiving word that The History Channel show “American Pickers” will be coming to Indiana July 6 through 19. Show coordinators have asked area chambers to guide hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz to locations that have antiques and collectibles.

Here are some of the items American Pickers are looking to buy: motor scooters including Vespas, Lambretta and Cushman; old advertising signage; motorcycles; bicycles (pre-’60s to turn of the century); old toys including tin, wind-up and cast iron toys; pre-’50s vending machines, pinball and slot machines; old movie posters; unusual radios including transistor and tabletop; antique casino/gaming machines; vintage movie memorabilia; vintage advertising items; taxidermy; vintage concert posters and T-shirts; early Boy Scout items; pre-’60s vintage diner collectibles; pre-’60s TV merchandise; pre-’50s western/equestrian gear; classic motorcycle memorabilia; sports memorabilia; casino tables; Houdini items; old rodeo items; airline collectibles, especially from Pan-Am and TWA; late ’70s and earlier military items; extraordinary mobster memorabilia; vintage police officer collectibles; firefighter collectibles; pre-’40s telephones; folk art; vintage BB guns and cap guns; early Halloween items; pre-’40s Christmas items; Hawaiiana/Tiki collectibles; vintage sports collectibles; vintage election memorabilia; musical instruments; Civil War antiques; vintage gas pumps; pre-’70s neon signs; strange woodcarvings; and vintage collegiate collectibles.

The Pickers are currently not looking for: farming/agriculture items, tools, glassware, appliances, tractors, crocks, stoves, or country primitives.
