The LaPorte County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at the LaPorte Park and Recreation Department, 250 Pine Lake Ave.
The business portion of the meeting will be followed by refreshments and a program entitled “An overview of Family Search: what resources it provides and how it can help you in your research,” presented by KayLynn Mathews, past director of the Valparaiso Family History Center. This is a chance to learn to search one of the biggest collections of family records and do so more effectively! The online offerings of the Family Search website grow monthly.
