Dec. 27, 1916 — LaPorte attorney Theoron S. Fisk dies suddenly this morning on a train en route to Chicago on business. His death might have come because he was compelled to run to catch the train.
Dec. 27, 1966 — Three babies — Stanley Van Willis, Theresa Leigh Woodward and Jeffery Scott McCoy — were delivered at the E Street Hospital on Christmas Day. The fathers of Woodward and McCoy are serving with the Armed Services overseas.
Dec. 27, 1991 — The government is considering asking Japanese automakers to reduce exports to the United States.
Dec. 27, 2006 — Former President Gerald Ford, 93, died at his California home last evening.
