Mr. John Michael Adkins, 27, of LaPorte, died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, in South Bend, IN.
He was born Aug. 12, 1989, in DeMotte, IN, to Richard A. and Jana S. (Carleton) Adkins.
John enjoyed working on vehicles, getting trucks stuck in the mud, fishing and spending time with friends and family. He was a devoted and loving father.
He is survived by his son, Jason Michael Adkins; father, Richard A. Adkins; brother, Troy R. Adkins; and grandmother, Barbara Yukcono.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Jana Adkins, and grandparents, Helen Carleton and John Carleton and Frank D. Adkins.
The family will receive friends at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaPorte, on Friday, Dec. 30, from noon to 2 p.m. A life celebration will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte.
