Rev. Randy Duncan and Rev. Daniel Wright of New Life ConnectPoint, LaPorte/Michigan City, were united in marriage Sunday, July 14, 2013, at First Congregational Church, Bakersfield, California. The wedding was officiated by Pastor Dave Stabenfeldt of First Congregational Church.
Rev. Duncan’s grandson, Burke Duncan, was ring bearer and his son, Derek T. Duncan of San Antonio, TX, served as best man. Witnesses included Kristan Brinkman of Selma, TX, and Colleen Stenderup Sherman of Lamont, CA.
The men have been in a covenant since December 1997. They have made their residence together in LaPorte since 1997. Randy Duncan came to the LaPorte area in February 1992.
A reception will be hosted by New Life ConnectPoint and Rev. Duncan’s daughters, Denee Duncan Dimiceli and Jennifer Duncan, at a later date.
Rev. Duncan and Rev. Wright founded New Life ConnectPoint (formerly New Life Communtiy Church of Hope) in November 1997. They co-owned Holy Macaroni Cafe until it closed in 2008. The church still operates Holy Macaroni Catering & Fundraisers.
