Another LaPorte resident has been charged with dealing heroin — the second within days. On Thursday, Aug. 8,

2013, Chelsea Patty, 22, of LaPorte, was arrested and charged with dealing in a Schedule I controlled substance (heroin), a Class A felony. She was arrested at her home in the 300 block of Park Street and was being held at LaPorte County Jail on $100,000 bond, according to the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office.
On Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, Edgar Camarillo, 19, of LaPorte, was arrested on the same charge and held on the same bond amount.
These arrests follow within days a suspected heroin-overdose death in LaPorte of a 21-year-old man.
