A New Carlisle man was arrested Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, after allegedly exposing himself to another man in Soldiers Memorial Park, LaPorte.
The 58-year-old man, not yet identified by LaPorte Police pending a prosecutor’s office review of the incident, was at the Grangemouth walking bridge Friday evening and approached the other man, according to a police report. The two had a conversation and then the accused crossed the walking bridge.
Moments later, the victim said the suspect yelled “Look over here!” and was standing naked across the channel. The victim said he was calling police and the suspect quickly redressed and drove off in a green Ford Aerostar van.
The victim then saw the van in the park’s main lot and eventually followed it onto Weller Avenue. The victim returned to the park to meet the police and while officers were questioning him, the suspect drove by, was stopped by police and identified.
The man faces possible charges of public indecency.
