Ms. Virginia E. Nepsha, 77, of LaPorte, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Brentwood Assisted Living in LaPorte.
She was born March 29, 1936, in LaPorte to John Jr. and Catherine (Laski) Nepsha.
Virginia worked as a director of patient accounts in the Renal Department of Northwestern Memorial Hospital for 33 years. She was a member of Chicago Art Institute, Chicago Palette and Chisel, and Chicago Museum of Natural History. Virginia was a talented artist; she loved painting in oils. She was invited to have a showing at the Art Institute of Chicago.
She is survived by her three sisters, Patricia Taylor of Boulder City, NV, Janice (James) Smith of LaPorte and Valerie Nepsha of LaPorte; and her brother, John Nepsha III of Pennsylvania.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty Weinman and brother Ron Nepsha Sr.
The family will receive friends at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaPorte, on Friday, Sept. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. A life celebration will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, LaPorte, on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jo Ellyn Chadwick officiating.
