More than 25 volunteers spent Thanksgiving Day serving turkey dinners to area residents at the LaPorte County YMCA. The dinner, which consisted of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and several varieties of pies, was sponsored by Positive Seed Inc. and the Y.
Sims Meats donated 15 turkeys and American Licorice and community members donated other meal items. The event went from noon until 5 p.m.
