In recent years, everything about the LaPorte Santa Parade — the crowds, the entries, the route, the fun — has grown. The 2013 parade on Nov. 30, 2013, also featured abundant sunshine, a crisp blue sky and comfortable temperatures.
During the parade, Santa was delivered by LaPorte fire engine to his Chalet outside the historic LaPorte depot. He’ll be there to greet kids every Saturday in December leading up to Christmas from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Chalet will also serve as a drop-off site on those days for LaPorte County Toys for Tots.
