Dec. 28, 1913 — LaPorte Postmaster James A. Terry hosted a dinner at the Richter Hotel for post office employees.
Dec. 28, 1963 – LaPorte added approximately $5 million in new industrial plant facilities and 200 jobs in 1963.
Dec. 28, 1988 – Maurice Levine, president of Levine’s Boston Store in LaPorte’s Maple Lane Mall, said the store had its biggest Christmas ever in terms of sales.
