For over 50 years, La Lumiere School has produced leaders who have taken to heart the school’s motto of “Character – Scholarship – Faith,” and those leaders are helping to mold the future in all walks of life. La Lumiere’s system uses nine leaders called prefects. The Head Prefect oversees the Prefect Board. Each Prefect oversees a council of students committed to a specific area of responsibility.
Headmaster Michael Kennedy said, “Everything we do at La Lumiere School is done with an eye on nurturing leadership skills. The Prefect Program allows the students to take ownership of their high school experience.”
