Jack Elbert Loop, 53, of LaPorte, died peacefully at 11:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.
He was born July 12, 1960, in LaPorte to Robert Wayne and Marion “Sally” (Warner) Loop.
Jack enjoyed working on old muscle cars. He was a collector of Hot Wheels and model cars. Jack was a NASCAR fan. He loved his chocolate milk and pudding.
Surviving are his lifelong companion, Brenda Murray; one son, Joshua Loop of LaPorte; three sisters, Becky (Ron) Beebe of Battle Creek, MI, Sarah (Robert) Wardlow of LaPorte and Joni (Chip) Robb of New Carlisle, IN; four brothers, Robert D. Loop, Richard (Edna) Loop and Bill (Debra) Loop, all of LaPorte, and Paul (Roxanna) Loop of New Carlisle; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents and one brother, Walter Loop, preceded him in death.
A funeral celebrating his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, LaPorte, with Pastor Dan McDonald officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until the service.
