It’s been a long, tough winter already; time to have some fun for a good cause. Do you know what special talent Molly Ringwald’s character has in the Breakfast Club? Do you know which Disney animated feature includes seven Elvis songs? Do you love trivia? This event is for you.

The LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra organization will host Tiny Tunes Trivia Night on Friday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. at LaPorte Little Theatre, 218 A St. Participants will compete for hundreds of dollars worth of raffles and prizes donated by local businesses. Proceeds will benefit the symphony’s Children’s Chorus.

Participants may register individually for $20 or as a team of 6 for $100. Spire restaurant will be providing a cash bar, and you can bring your own snacks.

To register for Tiny Tunes Trivia Night, visit www.LCSO.net and click on “KNOW IT ALL?” in the middle of the page.

The LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra Children’s Chorus is open to all 2nd through 5th graders in the community who love to sing. It was formed four years ago as a community engagement program of the symphony. The chorus is led by Matthew Nelson, who enthusiastically teaches group and solo singing fundamentals to approximately 40 children.

The chorus is now accepting students for the 2014 season. If your child is interested, find more information and register at www.LCSO.net. You can also sponsor a child for the year by clicking on Children’s Chorus under the Contribute tab at the site.
