Feb. 6, 1914 – The LaPorte Carriage Company’s troubles are multiplying. Being unable to pay the property taxes, the real estate will be for sale after the personal property is exhausted.
Feb. 6, 1964 — LaPorte Mayor Thomas E. Boyd makes Boy Scout Week official by signing a proclamation during the 54th anniversary of the famous youth movement.
Feb. 6, 1989 – The Washington Park Zoo in Michigan City has two new tenants: golden eagles donated by the Indianapolis Zoo.
Feb. 6, 2004 – Samuel Potter is charged with voyeurism after filming women in a LaPorte dressing room.
