Hesston Homemakers Extension Club met April 29, 2013, at Betty Swanson’s home. Donna Teter was co-hostess.
President Karen King called the meeting to order. Phyllis Austin gave the secretary’s report and Cindy Pagels gave the treasurer’s report. Coins for friendship were collected.
Patty Sardeson took roll call with 9 members present. The health lesson given by Marcy Dailey was on healthy eyes and ears. Copies of the club’s constitution and bylaws were passed out. Upcoming meetings and events were discussed.
Linda Barnes, King and Austin will attend the Fall Dinner planning meeting with the Kitchen Kin Club. It will be at Sue Howell’s home May 2 at 9:30 a.m.
Members were reminded of the Mother’s Day dinner at Spire Farm to Fork on May 13 at 6 p.m.
Swanson gave the lesson on Diversity. Pagels conducted a white elephant, baked goods and plant auction.
Swanson won the door award.
