The LaPorte Branch of the American Assocaition of University Women (AAUW) invites the community to the May 14 AAUW meeting. Dr. Glade Montgomery, superintendent of LaPorte Community Schools, will be the featured speaker.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the large meeting room of the LaPorte County Public Library.
Glade has served for 29 years in public education. During that time he has held varied positions including math teacher, principal, assistant superintendent, chief academic officer, coach, and more. His education includes bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from Purdue University and the Indiana Principals Leadership Academy.
AAUW has long been a forerunner in education for women and currently is involved in research in Hostile Hallways, harassment in schools; and Where the Girls Are, the facts about gender equity in education. AAUW supports pay equity and every year grants over $4 million for education and study.
