The LaPorte Park and Recreation Department will hold its second Youth Sports Registration Nights – with registrations offered for Cal Ripken Baseball, Girls Softball, T-Ball and Tennis – from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, in the lower level of the Civic Auditorium.
Keeping sports fun — especially in the early stages of youth participation — is the primary concern of the park programs. The department believes in participation for all, positive competition and building character. The programs teach fundamentals and traditions of the game, champion sportsmanship and encourage family and community support.
