In honor of Black History Month, LaPorte County Historian Fern Eddy Schultz will present “Early Black History of LaPorte County” on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m. at the LaPorte County Historical Society Museum.
Fern will give the history on schools, churches, Civil War veterans, businessmen, a world-renowned female pianist, and much more.
The museum is located at 2405 Indiana Ave., LaPorte, and is handicapped accessible. There is no charge for the program; regular museum admission price of just a few dollars will be collected.
