LaPorte artist Laura Marie Panozzo of Earth Angel Eco Art Studio is busy creating a “dream bird” from pieces of reclaimed wood. She will donate this one-of-a-kind sculpture to the LOK Wishing Tree Foundation, and it will be auctioned on Saturday, March 22, at a very special event at Journeyman Distillery, Three Oaks, MI.

Not only will attendees have a chance to bid on the large sculpture, but they will have the opportunity to create a feather for it. The evening will also include delicious, seasonal small plates prepared by Chef Brad Hindsley of Spire Farm-to-Fork Cuisine, LaPorte; live musical entertainment provided by George Prellwitz of Midwest

Hype; and sample-sized cocktails by Journeyman Distillery.

The LOK Wishing Tree Foundation was founded in memory of LaPorte native Lindsey O’Brien Kesling, who had a passion for the arts and for helping children. The foundation continues the positive work Lindsey

began prior to her accidental death at just 22 years old. The foundation provides funding for arts programming to youths in underserved areas, partnering with local arts organizations such as the South Shore Dance Alliance and the Lubeznik Center for the Arts.

Tickets are $65 per person. All profits will be donated to the LOK Wishing Tree Foundation. The event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. LaPorte time. Preregistration is required; tickets are available online at http://lokwishingtree.org. For more information, contact Kathy Sipple at (219) 405-9482 and visit http://lokwishingtree.org.
