April 14, 1914 – The days of winter are over. The season of 1914 springs into life in eight cities representing the National and American leagues this afternoon.
April 14, 1964 – An attempted murder and a suicide results in the death of Walter D. Dent Jr. It also indirectly causes a fatal heart attack to the Dents’ neighbor, who was rushing Mrs. Dent to the hospital.
April 14, 1989 – The Indiana attorney general plans to crack down on mail scams that promise a guaranteed fabulous prize in return for a charitable donation or purchase.
April 14, 2004 – Evan Epley is found guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of his brother.
