A youth chair from the Forrester family is now on display in the Victorian Dining Room at the LaPorte County Historical Society Museum.
Visitors to the LaPorte County Historical Society Museum during May 2014 came from 15 Indiana counties, 19 states and Italy. Three tour groups visited: two school groups from North Judson, IN, and 4th graders from Pine School in Porter County.
May was Preservation Month, so the Historic Structures Photo Contest entries from LaPorte County were on display as well as 25 more from around the state. WNIT-TV came to the museum and interviewed a photo contest winner and Curator Susie Richter. A “Fabulous ’50s” variety show was held on the lower level.
