Aug. 9, 1989 – Westville Correctional Center, Indiana’s largest prison, is getting a new superintendent. Thomas Richards will start his new duties on Wednesday.

Aug. 9, 2004 – A teenager from California wants to buy out the manufacturer of a gun that left him a quadriplegic.
