The LaPorte High School girls cross country team and LPHS boys team star Sam Miller are headed to the State Finals this weekend. Come and send them off this Friday, Oct. 31, at the LPHS I Street parking lot at 8 a.m.
At Semistate last weekend, the girls team placed 6th, advancing it to State. The top six teams advance. While the boys team placed 7th, just missing a team state berth, team Captain Sam Miller advances to State after his 20th-place finish at Semistate.
The boys and girls state tournaments takes place this Saturday, Nov 1, beginning at noon CST in Terre Haute.
